    The selective combination of dry mining and hydro mining utilized at the
    Männiku quarry allows extraction of sands of different fraction and quality.
    Sand is depleted with a floating surface pump and directed into a hydro
    dump. During the technological process, gravel and stones are removed and
    tiny dust and clay particles are flushed out as well. Sand cannot be littered
    with stones, pieces of clay and other foreign bodies. Radiometric analyses
    confirm that this sand can be used for construction of dwellings. Qualitative
    characteristics of sand from one dump are stable (currently loaded coarse
    sand: Mp = 2.4-2.6, fine sand: Mp = 1.2-1.4). More detailed results of
    laboratory analyses and other relevant information is available on location.
