Wilmington, NC The Community United Effort, CUE Center for Missing Persons will
host its 11th National Missing Person Conference "Persevere Through the Unknown"
March 19th through the 22nd of 2015. Registration sign up is now underway for those who
plan to take part and attend this years event. The public are welcome to participate and
receiving training from national experts in the arena of missing individuals and victims of
crime. Families left behind are encouraged to attend to aid in their recovery process and
embrace empowerment from gaining knowledge. !

On March 19, 2015 at 7:00 pm our national conference will begin welcoming all
attendees that have pre registered; the conference kicks off Friday, March 20th at 9:00 am
and will end on Sunday, March 22nd at 1:00 pm. The three day event will focus on
improving communication among agencies, learning about each others services,
exchanging ideas, and creating a unified support system for all victims. !

Each year the conference plays host to more than three hundred guests and a list of
experts from their respected fields, this year will be no different. Speakers and instructors
will share information in various arenas to include advanced technology, advocacy,
investigation and empathy. The conference attendees are a great mixture from missing
persons and surviving crime victims families as well as sectors of officials who work in
the field of law enforcement, search and recovery, the identification process of
individuals, volunteers and public agencies. !

This event promises all attendees to be informative, presenting new ideas and offer
resources to better the communication for all concerned. Training certificates will be
issued to all attendees in addition to all meals, lodging and conference materials. Shuttle

services are offered from the conference hotel for arrival and departure to all who fly into
Wilmington airport!

In addition to the conference training and many activities a candle light service will be
held as a part of the conference attendees on Saturday evening, March 21, 2015 along the
Cape Fear River at River Front Park; the forty-five minute program will begin at 7:30 pm
and the public are welcome to provide their support by attending. Families of the
missing, guest speakers, special vocal tributes and presentations, lighting of candles and a
wall will be unveiled in honor of those missing and recovered for all to see. Candles will
be provided. !

The CUE Center for Missing Persons are also seeking committee volunteers for task in
preparing for the national conference, anyone interested should contact CUE for further
details and involvement. !
