Reproduction
After the rainy season females lay 3-8 eggs, incubation period 60-90 days at 2830C

31-35C, local 35-40C, at night about 21C
Use a ceramic heater in a safety cage and a pulse proportional thermostat or
Infra Red bulb in a safety cage with a Dimming thermostat set up. Or a Mercury
vapour lamp set up.

30-40%
Lighting

Mercury vapour lamp in combination with Light Strip. As heat, light and UV
source we recommend the use of
Exo Terra Solar Glo or similar. This species needs a high light intensity.
Substrate
Use desert sand or River sand mixed with stones and pebbles, rock chippings.

Stones, branches, caves and roots
Terrarium Size
They need a large, roomy terrarium to show off their behaviour. The minimum
size vivarium is 48x2x2 for up to a trio, one male two females.
Food
Live insects (e.g. crickets, locusts and cockroaches). Occasionally two or three
times a week Calcium+D3 and Vitamin supplements should be given.
Comments
Diurnal species. It is Important to spray, as they don't drink from water bowls.
