Peer Tutor and Writing Fellow for the University Center for Writing-based Learning for DePaul
University, Fall 2013-Current

Tutored undergraduate and graduate students with various writing assignments across all
fields of study, regardless of a students writing experience.
Coordinated face-to-face and written feedback appointments with students while tutoring
for a specific class, while also having constant communication with the professor of the
class to track student progress.
Communicated with other peer tutors and staff members through various meetings and
in-services about how to improve the writing centers services to students, and to also
promote our new location on the Lincoln Park campus.
Participated on an outreach and a workshops team, which helps sponsor events for the
writing center, such as International Writing Centers Week and Banned Books Week.
Lead several in-class workshops, specifically in Writing, Rhetoric, and Discourse classes
to acclimate freshman students with a portfolio building website called Digication.

Summer Position as a Camp Counselor for the Chicago Park District at Rowan Park, JuneAugust 2014

Lead two groups of children, specifically ages 3-4 and 5-6.


Assisted students with traveling to and from various activities at the park, such as
physical activity, and arts and crafts.
Facilitated bathroom breaks, lunch, and snack distribution with other counselors.
Assisted other counselors with parent pickup and drop off, but was not required to past
4pm if parent was tardy.
Communicated with parents and guardians letting them know what their child
accomplished during the day.

Organization, The Beverly Arts Center, 2010-2011

Lead two groups of children, specifically ages 5-6 in 2010 and ages 8-9 in 2011.

Interactive Field Experience 2011-Current

Presented a sample lesson plan to a sophomore English class at Lakeview High School
during field observation hours, completed during my sophomore year at DePaul
University
Assisted cooperating teacher with distributing assignments to the students, walked around
the classroom to answer any questions the students might have about a particular
assignment
Attended an after school staff meeting with other English teachers, included input into
improving lesson plans and different assessment strategies.

Comprehensive in Spanish, with speaking, reading, and writing.
Passionate about health and wellness, specifically with nutrition and physical activity.
