We are currently looking for engineers of all disciplines to fill fire protection engineering positions.
Expert-led training will expand your knowledge of varied engineering skills including the following:

Designing and monitoring the installation of fire protection systems including: fire pumps, fire water
storage tanks, fire water distribution piping systems, sprinkler systems, fire alarm systems, special
hazard extinguishing systems, fire barriers, fire wrap, process equipment fire safety features, and
utility fire safety features.

Performing risk analyses including fire modeling for nuclear power plants, government laboratories,
weapons facilities, manufacturing facilities, chemical plants, mines, warehouses, and high-rises.
Analyses involve assessing fire hazards, hazardous materials, explosions, life safety, machinery
breakdown, safe plant shutdown, and natural phenomena, such as earthquakes.

Analyzing facilities for compliance with fire protection codes, such as NFPA codes and handbooks,
international building and fire codes, NRC and DOE fire protection requirements and guidelines,
and factory mutual loss control data sheets.

Developing and assessing fire protection programs, including fire protection system testing,
maintenance and inspection, combustible material and flammable liquid control, and cutting and
welding controls.

You will also learn:

How to do quality work using written ISO 9001 and ASME NQA-1 quality assurance methods.
How to become an effective Project Team Member and advance to Project Manager.
How to participate in successful marketing efforts and effective proposal writing.
Position Requirements:
B.S. in Engineering
Ability to obtain unescorted access to a Nuclear Power Plant or Department of Energy (DOE)
