Week #5
1. Team A is inbounding the ball to start the 4th quarter. While in flight, A-1’s inbound pass will clearly be
stolen by B-2. A-2 grabs B-2 by the jersey to prevent a dunk. The official calls an intentional foul on B-2.
Team is awarded two free throws, the ball nearest the spot of the foul. In addition, the official changes the
alternating possession arrow from Team A to Team B. Is the official correct?

2. At the start of the 2nd quarter, team A is awarded the throw-in opposite the table. At 7:55 on the clock, the
timer sounds the buzzer and the official scorer notifies the referee that the arrow should have been set
toward team B. The referee puts 8:00 back on the clock and administer the ball to team B. Is the official
correct?

3. With :02 seconds left in the 2nd quarter. A-1 is inbounding the ball when A-2 sets an illegal screen against
B-2. Team B should be awarded a 1&1 free throw. Mistakenly, the referee gives the ball the team B the ball
nearest the spot of the foul. The ball is inbounded and the horn sounds while team B has the ball. To start
the 3rd quarter, the referee corrects the error by administering a 1&1 free throw then resumes play by using
the alternating possession to start the half. Is the official correct?

4. A-1 starts the game with a long-sleeve compression shirt that is a single color that is similar to the torso of
the jersey. The official reminds the coach that the player cannot play with the long-sleeve shirt and it must
be removed prior to him re-entering. Is the official correct?

5. A1 is ready to start the game and has on compression pants (i.e., they extend to the player's ankle) that are a
single color similar to that of their shorts. The official allows A1 to play. Is the official correct?

6. Following a time-out, team A , entitled to a throw-in, continues to huddle. Official calls a technical foul on
team A for delay of game. Is the official correct?

7. A–1 commits his/her fifth foul and is disqualified. Prior to team A coach replacing A–1, team A requests a
time-out. Official grants the request. Is the official correct?

8. A–1, dribbling in the backcourt, has the ball batted away by B–1. Official continues the 10 second count.
Is the official correct?

9. B–1 reaches through the plane of the boundary line and fouls thrower-in A–1. Official charges B–1 with an
intentional personal foul and issues a warning to team B. Is the official correct?

10. Prior to the game, team A is assessed a technical foul. When the official places the ball at the disposal of
B–1 for the first free throw the official has the scorer set the possession arrow toward team A’s basket. Is
the official correct?
