Who am I?

Aderonke Ogunsakin (nee Akinpetide) is my name, a young woman of thirty three, married with
two children, a Yoruba by ethnic grouping from Ile-Oluji, Ondo State and a practising Christian.
The third in a family of seven siblings, I happen to be the first female, therefore a natural leader
in that regard.
Until December 2005, I was an undergraduate of Sociology from the University of Ilorin,
graduated with BSc (Hons). For the first time, I travelled to the northern part of Nigeria (Kebbi
state to be precise) for my National Youth Service in 2006, it was indeed a worthy experience. In
order to improve on my personality, I enrolled with the Poise Graduate Finishing School (PGFS)
to learn professional etiquette and personal composure. I also had training with Motivo Training
on Personal Awareness, all in an attempt to improve my personal effectiveness.
My professional engagements have been a stint in Research Information gathering, Recruitment
and Trading. I worked very briefly with Market Research Consultancy (MRC), Clement Ashley
Consulting and I have been self-employed, trading in cosmetics, food supplements and hair
accessories.
I intend to become a seasoned marketing executive in the media or any corporate organization. I
will be seeking to explore opportunities in marketing communication, product development, and
new media utilization for marketing communication, customer engagement, customer experience
gathering and business analytics for proactive business strategic initiatives.
Social entrepreneurial involvement is one way in which I will like to give back to my society; I
will be engaging my skills in this area to reach out to the many young men and women who
mostly need a little prodding and push by providing vital information and access to materials
which would have otherwise been inaccessible to them. This will include but not limited to
educational counselling, access to e-learning, educational information including scholarship and

information on pathway to educational advancement, career success and any form of life
transforming messages.
My hobbies include cooking, counselling people, singing worship songs and acting on stage. I
like to making up and looking good and like doing same for people around me without seeking
any form of benefit or reward.
A mans world is ruled by his beliefs and values, this explains why people reacts to issues
differently, and the response to life issues makes or mar the destiny of men. I believe in God as
the Most Supreme being, I believe in the creation and I believe in His power to sustain His
creation.
For me, Integrity is a way of life and I will not trade it for anything. Patience is a virtue I hold
dear, it has seen me through many challenging times and I can tell it pays at the end. Loyalty is
an irreplaceable demand for commitment especially for very important relationships; I am loyal
to my family, I am committed to my Lord and Saviour, I will be committed to my future
employers/business relationships.
The wonder of creation, the beauty of Gods awesomeness, the intention of the Almighty, an
embodiment of potentials, the manifestation of Gods glory, that is who I am.
