PlanningTheresponsiblepeopledevisetheirplansinordertoachievethegoalsandobjectives
setoutinthepolicy.Riskassessmentisakeypartoftheplanningstepsinceyoucannotmanage
risksuntilyouunderstandwhattherisksareandcanarrangetheminsomesortoforderof
importance(priority).
ImplementationTheplansareputintoaction.
MeasuringPerformanceTheresultsoftheimplementationaremonitoredandperformanceis
tracked.Therearetwoaspectsofmeasuringperformance:
ActiveMonitoring(Beforetheevent)
ReactiveMonitoring(Aftertheevent)
AuditsAuditsarecarriedoutineveryaspectofthemanagementsystemtodeterminethelevel
ofeffectivenessandreportonanyacheivementsandareaswhichcanbeimproved.Theaudit
reporthasabroadscopeandincludesinterviewswithemployees,observationoftheworkplace
andinspectionofdocuments.
ReviewThefindingsoftheauditsandtheresultsfromperformancemeasurementare
reviewedbyseniormanagementtodetermineifgoalsandtargetshavebeenachievedandto
alteraspectsofthesysteminordertoaddressgapsanddeficiencies.
