Score Notes
Perfect Thunder Storm:
This score will be used for the establishing shot to set the scene as it is a horror.
It will go with the codes and conventions of a horror film and allow the audience
to be aware of the fact that the production will indeed, be a horror. It was
frightening and the loud sound is enough to startle the audience
Evening of Chaos:
This score is played while the audience watched the main character is what
seems to be a normal routine. We all chose this sound as it was difficult to find a
score that created some sort of eeriness as well a score that went along with the
scene. This score worked perfectly with both.
ES Horror Trailer 1 T60-Magnus Ringblom:
This sound will be used throughout the scenes building up to the climax and
although there will already be diegetic sound, we decided to use non-diegetic
sound to bring about tension - this is a key aspect for a horror production - it will
simply add to the 'scary' atmosphere.
Child Whispers:
This score was mainly used to show the audience that something unworldly was
in the scene. It was also more effective as it created a scary atmosphere which
intrigued the audience to carry on watching.
Heartbeat:
This score was used to show the audience how the main character felt. It also
helped in the audience relating to the character as they both are presumably
scared.
Extras:
There were extra ambient sounds that helped create a natural atmosphere.
These included sounds such as light switch turning on/off and the toilet flushing
