Assigning Values Using User-Defined Formulas

Trigger:

Concept

You can assign values to collection plan elements using user-defined formulas. These formulas
make it possible to assign or derive quality results values..

Assigning a value to a collection element with a user defined formula, ensures that when you
enter quality results, values are assigned when action rules associated with Assign a Value actions
are evaluated and found to be true. When you assign a value to a collection plan element, its
current value is overwritten.

In this topic, you will assign a value using an user-defined formula.

Step Action
14. Click the vertical scrollbar.

Step Action
15. You can sequence collection plan elements in a particular order and define an
Assign a Value action.

For example, if the collection elements Line Thickness, Specified Thickness, and
Deviation are sequenced as 40, 50 and 60, you can assign a value to the
collection element Specified Thickness using a formula that would calculate the
Deviation after the user enters the Line Thickness
and Specified Thickness.
