Concept
You can assign values to collection plan elements using user-defined formulas. These formulas
make it possible to assign or derive quality results values..
Assigning a value to a collection element with a user defined formula, ensures that when you
enter quality results, values are assigned when action rules associated with Assign a Value actions
are evaluated and found to be true. When you assign a value to a collection plan element, its
current value is overwritten.
In this topic, you will assign a value using an user-defined formula.

1. Begin by navigating to the Collection Plans page.

2. Click the Manufacturing and Distribution Manager link.

4. Click the Collection Plans link.

5. Use the Organizations page to select the appropriate organization.

6. Click the M1 list item.

which you want to assign values using user-defined formulas.

15. You can sequence collection plan elements in a particular order and define an
Assign a Value action.
For example, if the collection elements Line Thickness, Specified Thickness, and
Deviation are sequenced as 40, 50 and 60, you can assign a value to the
collection element Specified Thickness using a formula that would calculate the
Deviation after the user enters the Line Thickness
and Specified Thickness.
