Concept
You can define a collection element, and specify an action for Oracle Quality to initiate on the
basis of the quality data collected. To define a quality action you will:
Define action rules that determine when an action is invoked.
Specify the action(s) that the rule invokes when evaluated as true.
Define any action details needed to carry out the action (e.g., message text or operation
number).
Sequence action rules to determine their evaluation.

Step Action
1. Begin by navigating to the Collection Elements page.

2. Click the Manufacturing and Distribution Manager link.

3. Click the vertical scrollbar.

4. Click the Collection Elements link.
Step Action
5. Use the Organizations page to select the appropriate organization.
Step Action
6. Click the M1 list item.
Step Action
7. Click the OK button.

8. Use the Collection Elements page to query for the collection element for which
you want to define an action.

9. Press [F11].

10. Click in the Collection Element field.

11. Enter the desired information into the Collection Element field. Enter "OVEN

14. Use the Quality Actions page to specify the sequence, condition and resultant
action. The condition that you specify and the resulting action comprise what is

Action Rule.
The Sequence number establishes the order in which action rules are evaluated as
data is collected. The sequence number can be from 0 to 99999.
