Concept
When you create a collection element, you can define its values. This would give you a list of
values to select from you enter quality results.
Defining collection element values ensures that valid values are entered in fields. To ease data
entry, you can enter a short code for the value when you define it. Note that when you add a
collection element to a collection plan, the values are not copied into the plan. You will need to
reassign some or all of the values to the collection plan element, or create new values for it. This
enables you to control how collection elements are used within collection plans.

1. Begin by navigating to the Collection Elements page.

2. Click the Manufacturing and Distribution Manager link.

3. Click the vertical scrollbar.

4. Click the Collection Elements link.

5. Use the Organizations page to select the appropriate organization.

6. Click the M1 list item.

8. Use the Collection Elements page to query for the collection element for which
you want to define values.
You can define values and lists of values for user-defined collection elements and
predefined collection elements.
