Defining Specifications
Trigger:

Concept
You can define three specification types: item, supplier, and customer.

• If the specification type is based on the item, it will ensure that the items that are
produced conform to the specified requirements.
• If the specification type is based on supplier, it will ensure that the items received from
suppliers conform to supplier requirements.
• If the specification type is customer, it will ensure that the items shipped to customers
conform to customer requirements.

You can also define more detailed specifications by using specification subtypes.

In this topic, you will define specifications.
