Notes

T R A D I T I O N A L

Through the months, you may have noticed the

specific theological structure to our worship service.
While there are slight variations from week to week,
the overall movement in the service follows a biblical
pattern. Gods people gather for the specific purpose
of exalting God, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. The
opening hymn is always vertical in nature. It extols the
virtues and character of God. One of the best ways to
gain perspective in this life is to be reminded of who
God is. The choir sings a brief musical piece calling
everyone into community to join together in focusing
our hearts on God. We then join our voices together
as a community of Gods people, and unite to offer
praise to God through Jesus Christ. The fact of singing
together with a large group of people is at the heart
of Christian worship. While there are times of personal
worship, Christian worship is designed to occur in
community. You are part of the community of believers
this morning so open your mouth and sing! There are
so many others singing no one but God will hear you
and He loves your voice. He gave it to you for this very
purpose!

ARISE AND BUILD

UPDATE
The ARISE AND BUILD Campaign continues
to be an enormous blessing for our church
as additional gifts and pledges arrive. Weve
now eclipsed $7,001,866 in commitments and
unpledged contributions, meaning we only
have about $700,000 left to fully reach our
commitment goal of $7.7 million dollars!
In addition, we have paid

off
$1,655,528 of our debt!
Specifically, our separation agreement is paid
off in full ($655,528) and we will have made a
substantial payment on our building mortgage
($1 million). What a joy to be a part of such a
generous church family thank you!
Weve already received $192,000 in our
Mission Tithe, from which weve allocated
$75,000 to Mission Emanuel in the Dominican
Republic for construction of a community
center & gymnasium, and $25,000 to the
Nehemiah Project for a Madagascar Business
Loan Fund for Biblical Entrepreneurship
graduates. We are beginning to ARISE AND
BUILD!
For those of you who have not made a pledge
or gift, you can still join us. Pledge forms can
be found online at ariseandbuild.org or in
our church office. Be part of the team as we
prepare for the future ministry of our church;
we dont want you to miss out.
