POSITION SUMMARY
The Enterprise Risk Manager is responsible for the leadership, governance, and management necessary to identify,
quantify and manage the company's operational, strategic, financial, hazard and regulatory risks. This includes
creating, overseeing and monitoring the risk management activities of the organization, such as tests of Disaster
Recovery Plans and other planning activities. The Enterprise Risk Manager will also establish and maintain the
Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) architecture and process for the Company while ensuring that the organization's risk
management policies and strategies are in compliance with applicable regulations and the strategic objectives of the
organization.
This role has a heavy emphasis on people skills, especially effective cross functional relationship building and thought
leadership to ensure the value added element of risk management is evident throughout the various business units.

Essential Functions Statement(s)
Establish an enterprise-wide and holistic philosophy, strategy/approach and framework to risk management
that supports and protects the Vitamix vision, strategic plan and values and provides a common understanding
and alignment to integrated risk management.
Develop, challenge and enhance the Risk Criteria for decision making.
Identify, quantify and manage the mitigation of enterprise-level hazard, operational, financial, strategic and
regulatory risks.
Facilitate and lead Risk Council Committee meetings to ensure alignment around strategic objectives.
Develop and maintain Enterprise Risk Management tools, best practices, policies and standard operating
procedures to analyze and report enterprise risks, and to manage risks according to an enterprise risk
management framework.
Monitor risks within framework of risk appetite statement.
Prepare and test Disaster Recovery Plans and initiatives in order to enhance risk response decisions and
response times.
Proactively partner with business unit managers and senior leadership to increase risk awareness, monitor and
analyze risks within the company's business units, report on and provide guidance/recommendations on risk
matters to the Executive Leadership Team and Board of Directors.
Identify opportunities to manage risk, and enhance the business, resulting in lower costs, higher revenue
and/or increased competitive advantage.
Encourage a culture of Risk Management through awareness, training and education.
Conduct after-action reviews and assessments.
Prepare periodic reports and analyses as required.
Assist business unit leaders to quantify and manage risks based on risk criteria.
Educate and engage the Executive Leadership Team, external and internal auditors and Board of Directors on
key risk issues.
Evaluate and recommend internal controls improvements.
Implement standard tools to manage the Enterprise Risk Management process.

SKILLS & ABILITIES
Education: Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university in Finance, Accounting, Business or Economics
required. Masters degree or MBA preferred.
Experience: 8+ years related experience in complex risk/project management.
Computer Skills: Microsoft Office products (Expert in Word, PowerPoint, and Excel)
