Informatica Cloud Overview and Introduction


Lab 1 | Logging In | 5 Minutes
Scenario
In this lab, you will log in to the Informatica Cloud application and search the help files.
Goals
In this lab, you will:
Learn how to access, and log into, the Informatica Cloud application.
Learn how to navigate the Informatica Cloud user interface and access the online help.
Instructions
1.

Access the Informatica Cloud application


o Enter the following URL in your web browser:

www.informaticacloud.com
o

Click on the Login Here link in the upper right corner of the page.

Log In
o Enter your username and password.
o Click the Log In button.
o The Home page is displayed.

Access the Online Help


o Click on the Help button in the toolbar:
o Search the online help for the term DECODE
o Search for Task Flow

Lab 2 | Creating a View | 5 Minutes


Scenario
In this lab, you will create a view so that you can easily locate your tasks. This view will show your tasks only. Please note that you must
follow the naming conventions in the lab instructions in order for this view to work.
Goals
In this lab, you will:
Learn how to create a view.
Instructions
1.

Create a View
o Click on Apps > Data Synchronization.
o Select New View from the View drop-down menu.

Specify View Details


o Enter XX_View (where xx is your name or initials) in the View
Name field.
o Select the Public option for View Visibility.

Specify Filter Criteria


o Enter XX (where xx is your name or initials) in the Name
contains: field.
Note: This should be the prefix you plan to use for all tasks
created throughout the remaining training exercises.

Select your user from the Created by: list.

Select Fields to Display


o Add the following fields to the Selected Fields list:
Operation
Source Connection Type
Target Connection Type
Created Date
o
o

Remove Schedule from the list of Selected Fields.


Arrange the fields in the following order:
Source Connection
Source Connection Type
Target Connection
Target Connection Type
Operation
Created Date

Click OK to save the view.

Set User Preferences


o Click on your username in the upper right corner of the page.
The View Preferences page is displayed.
o Click the Edit button.
o Select your time zone from the Time Zone drop-down.
o Select the view you just created the from the Data
Synchronization Tasks View drop-down.
o Click OK to save your changes.
