The Reston Master Plan Special Study Task Force held their first meeting on December 8, 2009. The meeting focused on establishing procedures and schedules. The purpose of the Task Force is to help organize community input, develop a recommendation for the Planning Commission, and establish guiding planning principles for Reston by evaluating the existing Comprehensive Plan. The Department of Planning and Zoning established a website to provide information about the study and meetings. Community meetings will provide updates and allow for public input throughout the planning process. The Task Force will meet monthly through December 2010.
