From Lisbon International Airport - Portela:

(210km from Coimbra)

By Train:
Take a taxi to Gare Lisboa Oriente (should be about 10). You can also take the
underground train: red line going to S. Sebastio, then get off at Oriente (3 rd
stop, see www.metrolisboa.pt for more information and schedules).
Once in the station go to the ticket kiosk. Faster trains Intercidade and Alfa
leave regularly to Coimbra. You can buy your ticket online (see www.cp.pt).
Journey duration is about two hours.
Please note: Intercidades and Alfa only stop at Coimbra B. If you are staying in
the center of the city, you can then either take another train for Coimbra A
station from where many hotels are within walking distance, or take a taxi
directly to your hotel
By Bus:
Take a taxi to the bus station in Sete Rios (journey should take about 15
minutes and will cost about 10). Alternatively you can take the underground
train: first red line going to S. Sebastio, get off at S. Sebasto stop and then
take the blue line going to Amadora Este, get off at Jardim Zoolgico.
There are buses to Coimbra almost every hour, until 21h. Note that some of
them will stop in other cities on their way to Coimbra. Journey takes about two
and a half hours. You can check schedules, prices and buy tickets online
(www.rede-expressos.pt).
Once in Coimbra Bus Station (Avenida Ferno Magalhes) take a taxi to your
hotel.

By car:
Follow the Auto-Estrada do Norte (A1) towards Porto and get off in Coimbra Sul.
Distance travelled is about 200 km.

By train:
We recommend you the underground train. Line E from Airport to Campanh,
that will take about 33 minutes and cost 2.30 (check
http://www.metrodoporto.pt).
At Campanh walk round from the Metro station to the main railway station of
CP, Portuguese Railways. That takes only a couple of minutes.
There are several trains leaving to Coimbra. Alfa and Intercidades are the
fastest. The Journey takes about one hour by one of these trains. You can buy
your ticket online (www.cp.pt).
Please note: Intercidades and Alfa only stop at Coimbra B. If you are staying in
the center of the city, you can then either take another train for Coimbra A
station from where many hotels are within walking distance or take a taxi
directly to your hotel.

By Bus:
You can take a taxi to bus station in Praa da Batalha (around 20-25). You can
also take the underground train, first the line E going from the airport to
Estdio do Drago, get off at Trindade. Then take the line D towards Santo
Ovdio, get off at Aliados (check http://www.metrodoporto.pt). From Aliados to
the Bus station it takes about 7-8 minutes by foot.
There are buses every hour, until 21h, leaving for Coimbra. Some may stop
along the way. The journey takes about hour and a half, and you can check
prices, schedules and buy your ticket online (www.rede-expressos.pt).
Once in Coimbra take a taxi to your hotel.

By car:
Follow Auto-Estrada do Norte (A1) towards Lisbon and gett off in Coimbra Sul.
Distance travelled is about 120 km.
