Worsted weight yarn: 4 oz


white, 3 oz variegated, 12 oz
each gold and black, small
amount orange
Size G/6 crochet hook or size
needed to obtain gauge
Crochet hook size H/8
2 (12-inch) black pompoms
5 (7mm) black pompoms
4 (58-inch) gold buttons
Fiberfill
Bag of large craft pellets
Craft tacky glue
Tapestry needle
GAUGE

4 sc = 1 inch; 4 rows = 1 inch


Check gauge to save time.

Do not join rnds unless otherwise
indicated; use a scrap of CC yarn to

with white, ch 5, 2 sc in 2nd ch from

last ch, working on opposite side of

Rnd 2: Work 2 sc in first sc, sc in

pellets.

over next 2 sc] rep around. (12 sc)
Rnd 49: [Dec 1 sc over next 2 sc]
rep around, join in beg sc, leaving a
length of yarn, fasten off. Sew opening
closed.

Rnd 8: [Sc in each of next 8 sc, dec


1 sc over next 2 sc] rep around. (18 sc)
Rnd 9: [Sc in each of next 4 sc, dec
1 sc over next 2 sc] rep around. (15 sc)
Rnds 1026: Rep Rnd 4. At the
end of Rnd 26, sl st in next st, leaving
a length of yarn, fasten off.
Stuff arm firmly with fiberfill and
sew to side of body.

Make 2

Glue 12-inch black pompoms to


front of face, above nose 1 inch apart.

Rnds 1 & 2: Rep Rnds 1 and 2 of


head and body. (16 sc)
Rnd 3: Work 2 sc in first sc, sc in
each of next 6 sc, 2 sc in each of next 2
sc, sc in each of next 6 sc, 2 sc in last
sc. (20 sc)
Rnd 4: Sc in each sc around.

Make 2

Rnds 1 & 2: With black, rep Rnds


1 and 2 of head and body. (16 sc)
Rnd 3: Work 2 sc in each of next 2
sc, sc in each of next 5 sc, [2 sc in next
sc] 3 times, sc in each of next 5 sc, 2 sc
in last sc. (22 sc)
Rnd 4: Sc in first sc, 2 sc in next sc,
sc in each of next 10 sc, 2 sc in next sc,
sc in next 9 sc. (24 sc)
Rnd 5: Sc in each sc around.
Rnds 610: Rep Rnd 5.
Rnd 11: [Sc in each of next 2 sc, dec
1 sc over next 2 sc] rep around. (18 sc)
Rnd 12: [Sc in each of next 4 sc,
dec 1 sc over next 2 sc] rep around, sl
st in next st, fasten off. (12 sc)
Rnd 13: Attach white, rep Rnd 5.
Rnds 1448: Rep Rnd 5. At the
end of Rnd 48, sl st in next sc, leaving
a length of yarn, fasten off.
Fill black shoe section of leg with
craft pellets and stuff rem of leg lightly with fiberfill. With toe of shoe pointing forward, flatten top of leg and sew
opening closed. Sew legs to bottom of
body. Glue gold button to each shoe.
NOSE

Rnd 1: With orange, ch 2, 6 sc in


2nd ch from hook. (6 sc)
Rnds 25: Sc in each sc around. At
the end of Rnd 5, sl st in next st, leaving a length of yarn, fasten off.
Stuff nose lightly with a small
amount of orange yarn. Sew nose to
center front of face.
EYES

MOUTH

Center and glue 7mm black pompoms below nose.

Sew shoulder straps to front over
Rnd 31, 2 inches apart. Cross straps
in back and sew in place over Rnd 31
on back. Glue 1 gold button at end of
each strap on front.

end of Row 60, fasten off. Tie scarf
around neckline.

Rnd 1: With crochet hook size H

next ch] rep around, sl st to join in beg
sc, turn. (18 sc; 18 dc)

Rnd 3: Working in back lps for this
rnd only, ch 1, sc in each sc around, sl

At the end of Rnd 18, fasten off.
Wrap a length of yarn tightly around
top of hat between Rnds 14 and 15
and secure. Place hat on head and
sew in place.
