Preface
GZF-DW-VI Trunk Amplifier is widely used for constructing a hybrid DCS/
WCDMA mobile communications network. It receives and amplifies forward and
reverse Radio Frequency (RF) signal to extend the coverage of base station.
This Element Management System Manual covers the system frame, technical
specification, operation and maintenance of software of the Trunk Amplifier.

2.3.2 Recommended environment requirements
1. The installation height should be such as to facilitate RF cabling,
heat radiation, safety protection and maintenance.
2. Independent and stable power should be provided, which mustnt
be shared with other large-power communication equipment and electric
appliances.
3. The installation building, iron tower or high pole should be
provided with lightning protection facilities and should be strong and stable
enough.
4. The antenna backstay or roof should be provided with a pole
to help mount the antenna. The diameter of the pole may be 50mm ~
105mm, depending on the antenna to be mounted. A ladder should also
be available to help mount the antenna. All metal parts should be properly
grounded and provided with lightning protection facilities.

Unpacking Inspection Report, and the project supervisor should feed
back the Inspection Conclusion within seven days to the vendor for
documentation.

3.2.2.2 Remote Monitoring Method
In this case, what we need should include:
1. One PC or laptop;
2. One 9-stitch straight-through cable ;
3. One set of modem which supports DCS1800 communication
method, including its own power supply unit, e.g. HXMO900-3;
4. One small antenna which also supports DCS1800 communication
method
5. One SIM card which support data transfer to insert into the
Modem module
The following figure explains how to use a modem module to finish
the remote monitoring work.

Note: before testing, please insert a SIM card into the equipment.
And make sure both these two cards mentioned above have enough
money to sent SMS or other remote services.

3.4.5 Extend Query
Select the option module status query, and click the blank area
beside, then all the modules of the equipment can be queried. From the
table, the module which failed to be queried may be estimated to be
working improperly. And then it is suggested that sending engineer to
check and handle it.

4.Maintenance
4. Maintenance
Generally, theres no need to maintain specially after opening.
Though the Monitor & Maintenance Center can query the equipments
statue directly, we still advise an ordinary regular checking:
Check whether the cables, the fixtures, power connection are good
or not. If there is any problem, solve it immediately.
Make sure the lightning protection system and grounding are good
Check the equipments power supply.
Test and record the equipment main specifications regularly(such as
downlink output power, uplink gain, downlink gain, etc)
Test the uplink output Noise Level, and compare its value with the
record. If their difference is too large, find out the solution.
Test the coverage effect of whether the system is expected initially
or not.
Check the monitoring performance
Check all kinds of labels of the equipment are integrated or not.
Notes: If there is any problem with the equipments, solve it in time
and record it, or contact with us.
