GERBIL
Gerbillinae

Gerbils are naturally found in the sandy plains


of Africa,Asia and the Middle East. The gerbil was
originally known as a desert rat until they were
commercially introduced to North America and bred as
pets.
RIVER TURTLE

Emydidae

River turtles are found inhabiting freshwater


environments all around the world from slow-moving
rivers and streams to the calmer waters of ponds and
lakes. There are numerous different species of river turtle

found around the world many of which are sadly


considered to be endangered species today.

Zorse
Equus zebra x Equus caballus

The Zorse is one of a number of equine hybrids that are


known as Zebroids, which is the name given to an equine
hybrid that has Zebra ancestry. The Zorse is the result of
cross-breeding a generally male Zebra (stallion) with a
female Horse (mare) to produce an animal that looks
more like a Horse than a Zebra, but one that has stripes.
The Zebra part also gives the Zorse resistance to certain
pests and diseases that normally affect
both Horses and Donkeys,

Indian Palm Squirrel


Funambulus Palmarum

Indian Palm Squirrels are also known as the 3 stripe


squirrel due to the mix of dark and white stripes on the
back of the Indian palm squirrel. The Indian palm squirrel
can be found nesting in the tree tops of exotic trees.

Grey Seal
Halichoerus Grypus

The grey seal is one of the rarest species of seal in the


world with around 40% of the grey seal population
inhabiting the cooler waters around the United
Kingdom.Grey seals are the biggest land
breeding mammal in the United Kingdom, but are
superbly adapted for life in the sea. Adult grey seals have

2 layers of thick fur and a thick blubber layer of fat to


keep them warm at sea.
Ocelot
Leopardus pardalis

The Ocelot is a medium-sized small cat that is native to


the jungles of South America. The Ocelot is also known as
the Painted Leopard due to the beautifully distinctive
markings on it's fur as it displays dark rosettes, along
with spots and stripes.

Gar
Lepisosteidae

The gar (also known as the garpike) is an elongated


species of fish, generally found
in freshwater habitatsacross North and Central America.
Despite their similar appearance, the gar is not to be
confused with the marine garfish or needlefish that is a
common sight throughout the tropical reefs of south-east
Asia.

Serval
Leptailurus serval

The Serval is a medium-sized species of cat that is found


throughout sub-Saharan Africa, mainly in covered areas

that are close to water. Thought to be most closely


related to the African Golden Cat and the Caracal, the
Serval is one of the most distinctive felines on the African
continent with it's spotted fur and long limbs giving it the
appearance of a small Cheetah.

Arctic Hare

The Arctic hare is found in the northern regions of


theArctic Circle, predominantly in Northern
America, Europe, Greenland and the North
Pole.The Arctic hare has thick, white fur which allows it to
continue inhabiting the Arctic regions successfully, in
warmth and camouflage.

Hare
Lepus Europaeus

The hare, closely related to the rabbit, is a


small mammalfound primarily in the Northern
hemisphere. Although there are different species of hare
found all over the world, the hare is most commonly
found in Europe and North America with the Arctic
Hare found inhabiting the freezing climates within
the Arctic Circle.
