SYNOPSIS

Catch me if you can is a true to life story of Frank W. Abagnale, Jr. one of the world's
most wanted criminals and impostors. Frank cam from a very simple family. Frank
also admires Frank Abagenale, Sr. , his father and thereafter wants to be just like
him. The story of ingenious deception begins when he deceived his classmates to
be their professor in French subject. At the age of sixteen, Frank easily learned how
and what it took to become a professional scammer and impostor. Frank started his
unbelievable tactics by becoming a co-pilot for Pan American Airways and flight
around the world to cash-out fake checks which earned him million of dollars. Years
passed by, Frank used the names of Robert Conrad, Frank Adams, Robert Black,
Frank Williams, and Robert Monjo to deceive the public for his identity and impost as
the doctor in a hospital. He also forged a law degree in Harvard and later on he was
hired as a lawyer for the state at attorney general's office. Subsequently, Frank also
tried teaching into a college class with a fake degree from Columbia University.
Frank also posted as a Pam Am recruiter to hire stewardess and travel around the
passing Pam Am expense checks. Frank's wrong doings comes to an end when he is
caught in a supermarket by French police, and the detective agents. Frank W.
Abagnale is thrown in jail of France, and then later transferred to a prison in
Sweden. On their way back to the United States to await trail, Frank discovered that
his father passed away due to train accident thru the information given by one of
the Swedish agent. upon knowing the heart-breaking news, Frank escaped from the
airplane before it had landed and was transferred into another prison. Frank goes
back to their old house where he finds his mother with the man she left his father
for, as well as a girl who Frank realizes is his half-sister. Frank gives himself up.
Abagnale was ordered to serve twelve years in prison. After serving four years of his
sentence, Abagnale was paroled and was hired by the FBI to teach companies such
as banks, airlines, and hotels how to detect counterfeit checks and prevent forgery.
