KT McFarland named the Clare Boothe Luce Policy Institutes Woman of the Year
Herndon, VA- On February 28th, the Clare Boothe Luce Policy Institute will present FOX News
National Security Analyst KT McFarland with the organizations 2015 Woman of the Year
award during the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC).
During the noon luncheon, leading women student activists from around the country will have
the opportunity to network and be inspired by listening to KT speak on topics of national
security, professional success, and advice on how to be bold leaders.
At this disturbing time in our history when Americas enemies are brutalizing their captives, it
is very appropriate to honor KT for exposing radical Islam, said Institute President Michelle
Easton. She has been extraordinarily effective in her writing, radio commentary, and as national
security analyst on FOX News and in other venues this year. She explains the threat of terrorism
and radical Islam in a clear and concise way, and I have seen how effective she is when speaking
to students at Luce Institute events.
KT McFarland is FOX News National Security Analyst and appears regularly on FOX News
and FOX Business News. She is also the host of FOXNews.coms DEFCON3, one of the
internets most watched national security shows, and she writes a column for FOXNews.com,
DEFCON3 by KT. She held national security posts in the Nixon, Ford and Reagan
Administrations and received the Defense Departments highest civilian award for her work in
the Reagan Administration.
She is a graduate of George Washington University (BA), Oxford University (BA, MA) and the
Massachusetts Institute of Technology (PhD program, all but dissertation) with concentrations on
nuclear weapons, China and the Soviet Union. She is a wife and mother of five.
The Institutes Woman of the Year award has previously gone to some of the nations leading
conservative luminaries like Sarah Palin, Michelle Malkin, and Monica Crowley.
The Clare Boothe Luce Policy Institute is one of the most unique organizations in America.
Founded in 1993, its mission is to prepare women for effective leadership and to promote leading
conservative women.
Through its various student programs, it engages, informs, and connects conservative women
across the country. By providing them with the resources, role models, and encouragement they
need, the Institute helps students prepare for future success in their workplace, school, and
community. You can learn more about the Institute at: http://cblpi.org/.
