This resource is designed to allow your family to have time in Gods Word
BEFORE your children attend church. Because Gods plan is for parents to
be the primary spiritual nurturers of their childrens faith, we want YOU to be
the one to introduce this part of The Big God Story to them.
For additional support in spiritual parenting and to learn more about
creating transforming environments in your home, be sure to pick
up HomeFront: A Spiritual Parenting Resource from your
church or download at HomeFrontMag.com. You can also access
the HomeFront app for your iPhone, iPad, or Android device.

The Israelites celebrated seven annual

feasts and festivals: Passover, Feast of
Unleavened Bread, Festival of First Fruits,
Feast of Harvest, Feast of Trumpets, Day
of Atonement, and Feast of Tabernacles
(or Booths).
During the feasts, the Israelites ate,
danced, sang, played instruments, prayed,
and offered sacrifices to God.
The Feast of Passover celebrates God
as Deliverer.

REMEMBER &
CELEBRATE

Each part of the Passover meal

represents a part of telling the story of the
Israelites escape from Egypt.

Just for Fun

Older Kids
Encourage your older child to think
back over her life and remember
the many ways God has protected
and provided for your family.
Relying on Gods faithfulness
during these past experiences
can help her maintain perspective
during current or future difficulties.

Your child will learn to respond to

Gods active presence in his life
by watching how you respond to
Gods activity in yours. Remember
and celebrate the ways God has

After reading Scripture,

discuss the following together:
What has God done in
our family recently?

What have you heard God say

to our family recently?

How can we thank God

for protecting us and providing for us?
