CALLUP LETTER FOR SSB INTERVIEW: IMA-139 COURSE

Dear Candidate,
1.
Further to notification issued by Army Headquarters, New Delhi and published in Employment
News.
2.
We are pleased to inform you that you are nominated to attend SSB interview for admission to
Indian Military Academy.
3.
Candidates are required to report at City Railway Station, Bangalore at 1400 hours (02 PM)
on 18 Mar 2015 (Regular batch). In case you are unable to attend selection process on 18 Mar
2015, you may do so on 28 Mar 2015 (Absentee batch) without any prior permission from this Centre.
Thereafter no request for change of SSB date would be entertained. In case of train delay, you can
report directly to the selection centre Bangalore by 1700hr. Location map is given below. In case you
report earlier, would have to stay under own arrangements. Only accommodation will be provided to
the candidate and not to anyone who accompanies the candidate (in case someone accompanies).
For ease of management and better administration of test, it is advised and expected that you avail
the opportunity with the regular batch utilising the primary choice.

A representative of the SSB will be present at Movement Control Office (MCO) located at the
Bangalore City Railway Station, platform No 1 near the out gate.
5.
In case you land at Airport at Bangalore, take a BMTC, Vayu Vajra Bus Route No 5. Get down
at Manipal Centre, which is 50 Mtrs away from Selection Centre South Bangalore (Ref Map).
6.
If you have any queries, please mention your Roll Number, Type of Entry, Course Serial
Number, Call Up letter Number, Full Postal Address, otherwise your request will not be accepted.
MOBILE NUMBER AND E-MAIL ID should invariably be mentioned to enable this office to respond to
your queries. Enquiries, if any, shall be entertained on working days between 1000 hrs to 1330 hrs.

Mobile Phones are not allowed to be used during the period of selection process, same to be
deposited on the arrival to the centre.
8.
Traveling Allowance :
You are now authorised to travel by AC III / AC Chair Car in
Mail/Express trains. A candidate is entitled to travelling for both coming and going back allowances
when he attends the interview for a commission for the first time on production of original rail
tickets/net copy at the Selection Centre. Such allowances is not admissible for second or subsequent
attempt for the same type of commission. Unauthorised claiming of travelling allowance is liable for
criminal proceedings. In case of travel by sleeper class due to non availability of reservation same
amount will be paid back. In case of travel by Air, Rajdhani, Shatabdi and purchase of ticket by tatkal,
only AC-III tier fair of mail/express trains will be paid.

The SSB Interview will be conducted in two stages. State I & Stage II. Candidates will be
administered the stage I screening of the selection procedure on following day of their arrival.
Candidates failing to qualify in the first stage will be sent back on the same day. Candidates
recommended for stage II will be retained for future testing for another four days or even longer for
medicals. Boarding & lodging during the stay at the SSB centre will be provided by the respective
SSB centre. Rail reservations accordingly will be responsibility of the candidates.

CERTIFICATES TO BE BROUGHT: - Please bring the under mentioned original certificate
along with two attested photocopies of each of these documents while reporting for SSB interview:(a)
Xth & XIIth Class marks sheets and certificates in original along with two attested
photocopies of each document with Date of Birth duly endorsed.
(b)

All years / semesters mark sheets of graduation in original.

(c)

Degree / Provisional Degree in original.

If you are studying in final year of degree course, then please bring a certificate from
the principal of your college / institution stating that
"It is certified that
_____________________ s/o Shri ______________________ is a bonafide student of
__________________________ (School/ College) and is presently studying in
___________________. His final board / semester examination will be / was conducted
during ______________ (month and year of exam) and the results are expected to be
declared by ___________________________ (month and year of expected date of

Note : Final year students are required to be submitted their passing certificate to Army
HQ on or before 13 May 2015.

Twenty passport size and one stamp size photographs with white background and
white shirt.
(f)
Any One of these ID proofs i.e. voter ID/Passport/Driving license/Pan card/admit card,
Aadhar Card & Ration card with photo as proof of your identity.
(g)
Risk Certificate.
(To be typed/ handwritten on plain paper and signed by
parent/guardian) as follows:" Name, Roll No. is attending the SSB Interview at his own risk. No compensation will
be claimed from Government for injury sustained during the SSB Interview."
(h)
One pair white PT shoes/sport shoes, Two pairs white socks, two pair of white shorts,
two pair of white half T Shirt/Shirt with collar, two pairs of formal dress for interview and
adequate writing material.
(j)
For North-East Candidates Only.
Candidates from North-East will have to bring
High School leaving certificate duly endorsed with date of birth.

Note : (a) All correspondence regarding SSB interview is to be addressed to this Selection Centre
and not to ADG Rtg. No action will be taken on letters addressed directly to ADG Rtg
pertaining to SSB interview.
(b)
Lunch on Arrival Day. Candidates are advised to have their meals before reporting
to this Centre, as there is no provision for lunch on the day of arrival.
(c)
Medical Aid
during stay this centre.
(d)

Facilities exist to the candidates failing sick or sustaining injuries

Light bedding is provided by this Centre. Please do not bring bedding.

(e)
Candidates who have submitted their certificates and mark sheets in College or
institution for pursuing higher studies, please bring a certificate in this regard as per specimen
given below:It is certified that _____________ s/o Shri ___________ is a bonafide student of _________
(College/University/ Institution/School) and is presently studying _____________ (herein
name of course pursuing is to be mentioned). The following certificates and mark-sheets in

Warning. A candidate should withhold his move if he is a permanent / temporarily resident of
Bangalore, his permanent address is Bangalore or has a relative/friend serving in the selection centre
or his unit is located in Bangalore (Serving candidates only) and intimate this centre immediately the
particulars of the person concerned and await further instructions. Any attempts made by candidates,
their relatives or friends to influence the members of Services Selection Board in their favour either
verbally or in writing will result in his name being removed from the list of candidates. In all matters of
discipline, the Centre Commandant will be the final authority and no appeal against his decision will
be entertained.
15.
You are required to get a print out of this callup letter and bring along with you for the SSB
along with all documents. Callup letter is not being sent to you separately by post.
