IIT Kharagpur

During my three year stint with Accenture, I have had the opportunity to work on
some of the most challenging projects which has enabled me to strengthen my
technical and analytical skills.
Throughout the three years of my IT career in Accenture, I have won several
accolades for demonstrating professionalism and dedication in my work. Having
made a number of technical proposals, several automations of manual work through
code/scripts and hence adding value to my deliverables, I see myself as a person
who possesses the appetite necessary to come up with effective and ingenious
ideas.
Having worked on providing solutions and designs for complicated client
requirements, the role of IT/Business consultancy fascinates me and I would like to
see myself as a successful IT/Business consultant in the next 5 years.
Though my technical experience and assiduousness would take me to the role of a
consultant, I still won't be equipped to perform that role effectively. I would lag
behind on the integrating skills, understanding the macro and micro issues of
business, people-management and the confidence required .Even now, when I am
asked to interact and clarify some of my business requirements with my client, I
reach a road block which is due to a lack of knowledge of the business scenarios
and no experience of end to end processes.
My technical experience has shown me the nitty-gritty of how to design/code/test
for the client's needs but an MBA would equip me with the skills to understand the
client's requirements better and to deliver with excellence what the client exactly
needs. An MBA would broaden my horizons, give the opportunity to interact with
some of the best brains of the country, help me acquire new skills and explore
things in business management and more importantly accelerate my learning
curve.
I realize that in order to be a successful Business Analyst or Consultant ,an MBA
from a reputed institute like IIT-Kharagpur would help me to combine my technical
expertise with an in-depth knowledge of the business processes.
