IXL Practice With Fractions: S.1, S.5, S.6,U.1, U.6, U.11, U.12
Practice Math Facts: Flashcards, Multiplication War with playing cards, roll dice and
multiply the numbers
Play Board Games that deal with Math: Monopoly, Sorry, etc.
Write a 2-Step Word Problem and then solve using numbers, pictures, and words.
Be sure to explain your problem solving using at least 2-3 sentences.

brochure, Powerpoint presentation, etc. Email to your teacher. You can also make a
poster or brochure by hand if you would like.

Write a realistic fiction story about your own created character in a winter storm.
Be sure to include 5 paragraphs, complete sentences, characters
thoughts/feelings, and lots of details.
Write an opinion essay on a topic of your choice (best restaurant to eat, best pet to
have, what food they should serve in the cafeteria, etc.) Be sure to include 5
paragraphs, complete sentences, and several reasons to support your details.

Go to connect.hallco.org and click on the link for Pebble Go. Read through all slides and
watch all videos for the following Historical Figures: Frederick Douglass, Paul Revere,
Lyndon B. Johnson, Thurgood Marshall, Cesar Chavez, Franklin Delano Roosevelt, Eleanor
Roosevelt, Susan B. Anthony, Mary McLeod Bethune

Choose 1 historical figure you would like to learn more about and research using the
internet. Refer to what you have already learned this year. Create a
presentation/document of everything you know about him/her. This can be a brochure,
Powerpoint presentation, poster, etc. Email to your teacher. If you do not have internet
you can make a presentation/document based off what you remember about the
historical figure of your choice.

Directions: In the event of more inclement weather our students need to be prepared for a Work at
Home day. In order to receive credit for this time please fill out the Winter Weather Log to document
the time in the activities that your child participates in each day. Students should spend 2-3 hours per
day working on these activities. This will also be posted on the Classroom webpage for your convenience,
if you have power!
