Weve helped over 680 enterprises in Bosnia and Herzegovina access advice. We are currently
funded in Bosnia and Herzegovina by the EU, Luxembourg, the Taiwan-EBRD Cooperation Fund
and the EBRD Shareholder Special Fund.

We helped 77% of enterprises

increase their turnover, with a
median increase of 18%.

After working with us, 19% of

enterprises accessed external
finance, for a total of 32
million in 2011-2013.

Through our advice, 53% of

enterprises increased their
productivity, with a median
increase of 2%.

We helped create 1,056 jobs in

2011-2013, as 63% of
enterprises increased their
number of employees.

At the European Bank for

Reconstruction and Development
(EBRD) we provide more than just
finance. We also provide business
advice to help small and mediumsized businesses grow, succeed,
then grow again, becoming genuine
catalysts for their local economies,
then their region.
We have been doing this successfully
in Bosnia and Herzegovina since
1997, applying funding from the EU,
Norway, Portugal, the United
Kingdom, the Central European
Initiative, the Balkan Region Special
Fund, the Netherlands, the EBRD,
Japan, Luxembourg and the TaiwanEBRD Cooperation Fund. Weve
combined over 7.1 million in donor
support with more than 3.5 million
in contributions from our clients to
help over 680 small and mediumsized businesses.

We care deeply about gender

equality. Thats why we launched a
Women in Business programme in
Bosnia and Herzegovina in 2011.
Since then, we have carried out
advisory projects with nearly 50
female entrepreneurs and held
trainings on how to start your own
business, online marketing and the
use of social media in business.
We build strong, competitive markets
for business advice that will thrive
independently, well into the future.
Over the past three years we grew our
network in Bosnia and Herzegovina
by 15 per cent to over 145
consultants.
As a bank, we know how important
finance is for growth. We work closely
with our banking colleagues as well
as our partner financial institutions,
helping our clients attract the funding
they need to grow.

areas, including international
standardisation, marketing,
information communication
technologies and engineering
solutions. Moreover, our industry

We support businesses from many

industries, such as wood processing
and furniture, food and beverages,
and metals and machinery. We dont
just work in the capital city. In fact,
more than 45% of our projects are
outside major cities such as Sarajevo,
Banja Luka, Tuzla, Zenica and
Mostar.
