Hayes Wicker, Senior Pastor

After the Kingdom Missions Conference
Our Kingdom Missions Conference last week was a
huge success. Of course, the Kingdom is not confined to a
conference, a period of time, or persons. Jesus taught us to
pray that His Kingdom would come and His will be done on
earth as it is in Heaven in the Model Prayer. The honorable
man, Jabez, prayed for God to enlarge his border with no
boundaries of blessings (1 Chronicles 4:10).
May we call on the Lord for our missionaries. The
greatest time of spiritual warfare is immediately following a
spiritual high, such as they just experienced with us. The International Mission
Board has 4,800 missionaries overseas with a total of 9,000 personnel. Over
60% of our IMB missionaries are in high-security countries, with 75% of them
considered officially closed to missionaries.
Pray about the Kingdom Missions Fund. We will give above and beyond our
regular tithes and offerings to the General Operating Budget, which supports
the Cooperative Program of our International and North American Missions.
We also have 20 partners now other than from the IMB, and believe that
God wants us to do more for them as well as having increased involvement in
other missions programs. Pray for the staff, missions committee, and finance
committee to have discernment in disbursement.
Pray for your own role in Gods plan. I have a simple house key. It has a
pointed tip and a jagged edge just like yours. It could be used for various things,
such as poking a hole in paper, scratching my head, or malicious acts like
keying someones car or outrageous things such as trying to clean my ears.
No! My house key was made for one task. The Lord said that He, knows the
plans that He has for us (Jeremiah 29:11). He has a unique place for you to
serve, adapted by His will to your own personality, gifts, talents, experiences,
and desires. This is why I love how in our church He has birthed various missions
according to His tailor-made working with our people. After all, Jesus gave the
keys of the kingdom of Heaven to us (Matthew 16:19). We proclaim the One
Who is the Door, and people may enter and be saved (John 10:9).
Pray about talking with John David Edie about your niche in the Kingdom.
Thank him for his marvelous leadership in developing our recent conference.
Also, if you have not yet pledged a certain amount to the Kingdom Missions
Offering, please do so. Keep giving your tithes and offerings to the General
Operating Budget of the storehouse of the local church (Malachi 3:10).
*There is a guest reception in the Commons following the Saturday night and
Sunday morning 11:00am worship services. Pastor would love to meet you!

Protected Harbor in the Missions Kiosk

Visit them in the Commons this Weekend

The ministry of Protected Harbor has been founded on the basis

of prayer. For more than a decade, the board prayed for Gods
support and provision in building their first home. They were
challenged, but God made it possible. As they embark upon the
building of a significant prayer team, they ask you to join as a
Prayer Partner. As the Bible so clearly alerts us, Now this is the
confidence we have before Him: Whenever we ask anything
according to His will, He hears us. And if we know that He hears
whatever we ask, we know that we have what we have asked Him
for 1 John 5:14-15. Please see our information card in the seat
pocket in front of you during the worship service.
