ICAI has proposed a new scheme of education and training effective from
2016 and has invited comments on the same. It is aimed to be global and
modern one. It will help our CAs to compete globally. It will also help them
to build careers in foreign countries.
MCA has notified Companies (Indian Accounting Standards) Rules, 2015,
which will come into force from 1st April, 2015. It is the high time for fellow
professionals to update and upgrade their skills for the plethora of
opportunities expected to be generated out of this.

Highest numbers of reforms are expected to be unveiled in this years budget
by the Finance Minister. Honorable Prime Ministers call of Make in India
and promise of removal of unnecessary laws will surely make this budget a
remarkable event. For better understanding of what is in store for the
common businessman, our Federation is organizing an interactive session
with top experts in Direct and Indirect Taxation the details of which have
been given elsewhere in the newsletter.

Grand Picnic Cum Tirth Yatra Organised by JCAF Mumbai

JCAF, Mumbai, with an objective to bring together the
members scattered all over the Mumbai and to provide
them a platform for interaction for better
understanding of each other, organises, time to time,
various programmes. Full day picnic cum tirth yatra,
organised on Sunday, the 18th January, 2015 at
Shankeshwar Dham, Kaman, Vasai was one such
programme which benefited a large number of our
members and their families attending the programme.
Around 150 persons participated into the event.
The programme commenced with navkarasi, which
was followed by Snatra Pooja, performed by a group
of ladies from Bhayander, invited specially for the
purpose. Thereafter, all the members assembled in the
hall of the Dham, where each of the members was
given an opportunity to self-introduce him / her, which
continued post lunch also. A short movie depicting the
activities of JIO was screened. Participants took active
part in the interesting and entertaining games managed
by Mrs.Savitri Kochar and Mrs.Rashmi Kochar.
A host of members contributed generously, in varied
forms, for the programme. CA. Jayesh Kala sponsored
two buses for comfortable travelling of members. The
projector and the sound system was arranged by the
Bhayander Branch of JCAF, while CA. Ramesh
Lukad, Director, JCAF sponsored the hall. CA.
Kailash Chand Jain, Director, CA. Shantilal Kochar,
President and CA. Narendra Ambawat also contributed
in cash towards the programme expenses. CA. Ramesh
Lukad and CA.Shantilal Kochar honoured all the
donors as a token of appreciation.
The programme was concluded by the vote of thanks given by the Secretary, CA. Pradip
Kapadia with special mention of all the volunteers for their relentless efforts to make the
programme memorable, enjoyable and successful. CA. Punit Mehta, CA. H.N.Bafna, CA.
Amrit Porwal, CA. K.B.Kothari, CA,Mahavir Jain, CA. Ashok Jain, Mrs.Savitri Kochar
and Mrs.Rashmi Kochar deserve special thanks.
On this occasion JCAF Mumbai donated Rs.5,100/- towards Jeevdaya and Rs.3,100/towards Sadharan Khata to Shree Sankeshwar Parshwanath Dham, Kaman.

JCAF Mumbai Donates Wheelchair for Handicaps

JCAF Mumbai donated a wheelchair for
handicaps by way of donation of Rs.7,500/- in
cash to Bhartiya Andh Apang Punarvasan

Director and Elphinston Hostels Sri Amrit Jain
were present on the occasion.

JCAF Mumbai Assists Shri Jain Alert Group for the Noble Cause of
Jeevdaya
JCAF Mumbai participated in the medical camp
for injured birds organised by Shri Jain Alert
Group, Bhuleshwar Godiji on the day of Makar
Sankranti on 14th January, 2015. It also donated
Rs.16,500/- to the Group for the noble cause of
Jeevdaya. CA. S.A.Kochar, President, CA.

the occasion.

Representation of JCAF Mumbai in JIO Peace and Non-Violence Summit

A summit on peace and non-violence was
organized by the Jain International Organisation
(JIO) in the benign presence of Gurudev P.P.
Naypadmasagarji M.S. It was held at Sakhar
Bhawan, Nariman Point, Mumbai and was
attended by a large audience. Many IAS, IPS,
IRS and judges from all over the country attended
the summit. CA.S.A.Kochar, President, CA.
K.B.Kothari, Vice President, CA. Amit Porwal
and CA.Nidhi Kothari represented JCAF
Mumbai.

Shravak Arogyam Phase II launched

Enthused by the overwhelming response received by Shravak Arogyam Phase I, JIO has
launched Shravak Arogyam Phase II, a group health insurance plan for the members of
Jain community. Both individual and family floater plans with attractive features like
coverage of pre-existing disease, insurance coverage without any medical examination,
pregnancy benefits, etc at low premiums have been launched. Any member of the
community can enroll for the scheme. JCAF Mumbai is an associate of the JIO in this
initiative and appeals to all of its members to not only avail the benefits of the scheme
themselves but also to volunteer for the scheme and encourage their relatives and Jain
friends to enroll for the scheme.
