Chandigarh Development Authority was established in the year 1976. After the

Independence of India on the day of 15 th August 1947, Punjab was divided

into two halves. One retained in India and is without a capital at that time
and one goes in Pakistan. Having lots its own meaning of word after partition.
A very talented engineer was selected by the Punjab Government to set up
the capital. From then only Chandigarh had a very fine work of architect and
have provided a lot of benefit to the people residing at Chandigarh.
In spite of regular tackles by various authorities to break up the economical
back bone of Chandigarh, Markets in Chandigarh are very well established
and used by the people to a very great extent. The setup of the markets is
done so well that a small place carries away a very little space. Chandigarh is
a very modern city and has gardens and parks in every corner of the city and

Authority. Out of the two gardens of Botanical one is situated in the
University of Punjab and other is nearby Rock Garden. Rare varieties of
flowers can be seen here that blossom here with full essence of their smell.
The trees also bring up the beautiful view of the nature which accompanies
us while we take a look around the new world on the Earth. Fully decorated
with the natural view comprising of trees and trees only makes up the sky of
