Mixed Reactions To Major Changes in SAT
The concerns relating to the American founding doc is that it will pose a bigger challenge
to the students from native language speaking countries. The unexpected thing is that the
questions on passages in cultural references can be hard. To identify with them would be a major
worry for native speakers of the English language.
Welcome Change
In the year 2005, the last major change was made to SAT examination. According to David
Coleman, president of the College Board, the new test being made available from the year
2016, in spring will be less stressful. The main idea is to help the students who are aspiring to

There are mixed reactions as the students see that the change in SAT examination pattern
is welcome. Some of them say how this is going to work out. The revamp to SAT examination will
help the international students or hurt their pass out percentage is to be seen.
Obscure Words
The student will now require to read passages from a broad range of subjects, including history,
science, social studies, literature. Obscure words learned from flashcards will no longer be
required to complete sentences. The students will encounter words such as, empirical and
synthesis.
The one major constructive approach is to test the student's ability in constructing a
sentence. It is indeed a good way to test the thinking of the student's to construct a phrase and give a
relevant reason for the presentation. This includes language command and thought process.
In spite of all the major changes in SAT examinations, it is imperative for the colleges and schools to
cooperate and flow with the tide. This is only to make the student do well and get a high credit score.
The basic idea to help them learn the new SAT examination pattern and hone their skills
for a bright career in international schools and colleges.
