A. (15 points)
A huge herd of wild horses has recently been spotted in the heart of the desert of Namibia. They
were 1) left behind by the Cavalry of the German army 2) during the South African war and have
been there 3) ever since. Jacqueline Ripart, a French journalist, was intrigued by 4) how these
animals managed to live in the 5) burning heat of the Namib desert, where only small scraps of
