Please check out our new website www.manurewaeast.school.nz Meet
the
Teacher
Evening
This
was
held
last
Thursday
26th
February
and
it
was
delightful
to
see
the
number
of
parents
and
children
who
attended
and
were
interacting
with
the
teachers.
I
was
also
pleased
that
I
was
able
to
deliver
my
message
to
the
parents
and
will
include
that
message
on
our
website.
Open
Day
We
will
be
holding
an
Open
Day
later
in
the
term
on
24th
March
2015
and
there
will
also
be
a
Parent
Teacher
Student
Conferences
at
the
beginning
of
Term
Two
(April
28-29).
By
then
we
will
have
our
students
data
from
our
March
testing
and
this
will
help
us
to
work
on
next
step
learning
for
each
child.
Teachers
Only
Day
We
would
like
to
thank
you
all
for
keeping
your
children
home
on
our
Teachers
Only
Day
on
Friday
27th
February.
We
had
a
very
intensive
day
of
learning
with
Jill
Eggleton,
who
is
a
real
reading
guru,
and
who
gave
us
a
huge
amount
of
resources
and
thinking
about
how
we
can
make
our
reading
programmes
support
your
childrens
learning
more
effectively.
Once
again
we
appreciate
your
support
and
cooperation
for
that
day.

OMG
Tech
Rangers
Last
Saturday
some
children
were
chosen
to
attend
the
OMG
Tech
Rangers
Event
hosted
at
our
school.
This
was
an
amazing
event
and
we
hope
to
be
more
involved
with
this
organisation
in
the
future.
We
would
certainly
like
to
thank
the
volunteers
from
OMG
and
some
of
our
parents
for
giving
up
their
Saturday
and
for
sponsoring
MEP
students
to
go
to
this
event.
Our
children
learnt
about
robotics,
how
to
use
3-D
printers
and
how
to
pull
apart
machines
(DVD
drivers
etc.)
to
]ind
out
how
they
work
and
various
physical
science
activities.
Parent
Teacher

I
require
the
teachers
at
our
school
to
teach
all

To
ensure
teachers
are
not
interrupted
the

will
be
unlocked
at
2.50

to
allow
parents
to
come
in.

to
the

of
teaching.
Please
avoid
coming
through
the

at
this

as
well.
If
you
do
want
to
discuss
anything
with
the
