INTRODUCTION & PURPOSE

This method statement has been prepared for the work to be carried out
desilting, repair and replacement of damage/worn parts and materials at
existing Silt Trap constructed by the previous contractor as established at
site. The purpose is to outline the Method and Procedures required to carry
out the desilting of silt traps and to maintain the silt trap that has been
constructed to functional silt traps to avoid silt overflows beyond the
working boundary. Should the Silt trap found Not Functional then the
existing Silt trap shall be demolishes and a New Silt trap shall be
constructed as Directed by S.O.
