Rules of Conduct for the Seminar Meeting


Evaluation and Professionalism Committee
In addition to the general rules stipulated in the seminar outline issued at the beginning of the course the following
rules apply to all members of the group. Violations are punishable by penalties given.

RULE
A Grace Period of no more than 15 minutes of tardiness will be accepted.
Should you believe you will be later than this, notification should be given to
the relevant personnel at least an hour before the seminar meeting
No eating or drinking or chewing of bubble-gum during seminar
(with the exception of water)

No disruptive exits from the seminar if one wishes to leave the meeting
one must raise a hand and when acknowledged express their desire and
give a simple reason for leaving eg. Personal no further details are required
No talking while being addressed by the president or any other speaker. If
one wishes to speak that person may raise and hand and wait to be
acknowledged by the speaker
No cell phones should be used unless they are used to take pictures or
record videos for the seminar. These videos should be submitted to website
research and publications for their perusal. Persons should avoid
obstructing the view of others during seminar meetings.
The use of tablets and laptops should be restricted to note taking or in
presentations related to the business of seminar. They should at no time
distract the business of the meeting.
Dress Code for Gentlemen:
Shirts must be neatly tucked into pants at all times and undershirts
should not be in clear view.
Shoes must be properly cleaned and presentable for the start of
seminar.
Gentlemen must be properly groomed.
Personal Jewellery must be kept to a minimum.

Dress Code for Ladies:
Professionally toned makeup is accepted (no party colours, no bright
colour lipsticks and both lips should be covered).
No excessive jewellery (one pair of earrings, a watch, no more than
two bracelets, two rings, a necklace and no anklet).
Earrings should be knobs or loops (loops should be no bigger than a
$20 coin in size).
Open shoes must either be open at the front or back not both.

Special Notes:

Seminar speakers must stay within agreed time frame coloured cards will indicate when one has
started their final minute when there time is up and when one will be penalized. ($150)
Collection of Fines will be carried out by the Finance Committee
Any item/s found unattended during or after seminar meetings should be turned in to a member of the
evaluation committee.
Absenteeism without apology will be attract a penalty of $100.00
