This workshop is intended to provide radiologists,
surgeons, pathologists, medical physicists, radiation
safety officers, radiologic technologists, and pathology
assistants with the knowledge and techniques
required to offer radioactive seed-guided breast
surgery in their practices.

EDUC ATIONAL OBJEC TIVES

Upon conclusion of this program, participants should be able to:

Recognize advantages of a radioactive seed

localized surgical procedure
Begin to implement a breast radioactive seed
localization program at participants institutions.
Understand how to perform radioactive seed
placement, radioactive seed localized breast

TARGET AUDIENCE

COURSE DESIGN

This course is directed towards

radiologists, surgeons, pathologists,
medical physicists, radiation safety officers,
radiologic technologists, and pathology
assistants.

This course includes didactic lectures, a

video demonstration, and opportunities
for registrants to participate with faculty in
interactive question and answer sessions.

EVALUATION

It is the policy of MSK to make every effort to
