The Caveman Power Diet - Successful Foods

Certain foods increase the chances of the successful selection of genes (organisms), because they
contribute to the health and survivability of a species. Within populations, some foods have been
(and still are) an important deciding factor for who survives, and who doesn't. For example; a
sudden dissapearence of protein sources could wipe out an entire population of carnivores. Nutrient
deficits in the environment have been the cause of many extinctions, but thankfully, we humans
shouldn't have to run into that problem! The point is, that food types are critical to health.
Humans developed into a robust intelligent species because of they way we drew up on mother
nature's nutrients. Some nutrients are better than others, and because of the massive variety of food
available in developed countries, you can take advantage of this and favour the successful foods.
Dysgenics? Eugenics? Adaptation?
To put it simply; Some foods take, and some foods give. Usually there's a bit of both, but the idea is
to eat foods that mostly give. Eg; too salty/fatty/sugary food takes, balanced nutritious food gives.
You can feel thirsty after a a bag of crisps, but feel great after a eating an apple. Learn to identify
which foods can give and/or take by utilising sight, smell, touch, taste, and the after effects of
eating.
Survivalists will usually smell a food, then rub it on their arm to check for skin reactions, then rub it
on their lip because the lips are more sensitive, then on their tongue to check for repulsive tastes,
then swallow a tiny portion and wait 15 hours, and then increase the portions slowly if the previous
portion caused no ill effects. I can envision a crafty primal man doing something similar. Imagine
if you did this with a doughnut? :)
Your body delights in successful foods your biology rejoices. It's completely natural, and we just
have to learn to re-teach our brain to delight in successful food. Fortunately, this is quite easy,
because it mostly involves unlearning than it does learning. The instructions are already in your
chromosomes, and they're waiting for you to listen to them.
Favour successful foods that give to your body.

Fruit (not too much though).
Vegetables (especially root vegetables, but definitely not potatoes or sweet potatoes)
Nuts, eg. Walnuts, Brazil Nuts, Macadamia, Almonds.
Berries - strawberries, blueberries, raspberries etc.
Root vegetables- carrots, turnips, parsnips, rutabagas, swedes etc.

More about Food

Oily deep sea fish
A rich source of Omega 3 fats and proteins, your body absorbs these readily, and will love you
for it.
Coloured Vegetables
The minerals and anti-oxidants can never be underestimated, they give you more vitality than
anything else.

Nuts and seeds.

Unsalted, go for Walnuts or Almonds.
Water
Think of it as a food - the most important one. Drink lots of it, let your stomach be the guide
on how much is 'lots'. If your urine is dark yellow, you are dehydrated. If it is clear to light
yellow, you are good. Carbohydrates require less water to digest than proteins or fats, so when
you're cutting down on carbs and increasing your proteins or fats, be sure to adjust your intake
of water accordingly.

The basic premise

Eat the foods that have nourished humans to be the species we are now.
Mother nature provides different ratios of nutrients depending on the environment. Strive to eat
what hunter/gatherers would have eaten in their environment. For example; ?????
Eating according your blood type group is simply; eating as your ancient ancestors would of have
eaten in their environment.
Charles Darwin, in The Voyage of the Beagle, wrote:
The Gaucho in the Pampas, for months together, touches nothing but beef. But they eat, I observe, a
very large proportion of fat, which is of a less animalized nature; and they particularly dislike dry
meat, such as that of the Agouti. Dr. Richardson, also, has remarked, "that when people have fed for
a long time solely upon lean animal food, the desire for fat becomes so insatiable, that they can
consume a large quantity of unmixed and even oily fat without nausea:" this appears to me a curious
physiological fact. It is, perhaps, from their meat regimen that the Gauchos, like other carnivorous
animals, can abstain long from food. I was told that at Tandeel, some troops voluntarily pursued a
party of Indians for three days, without eating or drinking."
In other words... you need to eat fat!
