Touch-Typing Competition
The annual touch-typing competition has now drawn to a
close. Mr Martin now has the job of collating all the results
and prizes ready for the winners to be announced in next
Mondays assembly.
Red Nose Day
On the 13th March (Red Nose Day) the school was awash
with the colour red. There was a cupcake sale and some
fundraising running. The children and the staff really made
the most of the fun with their choice of clothes! We raised in
excess of 350 with a smile on everyone's face.
Go-Karting
Mr Martin took a group of boarders to Bayford Meadows in
Sittingbourne on Sunday. The weather held until a couple of
laps in then gradually the track began to get rather
treacherous. With no option to change to wet tyres the
drivers were thoroughly tested, as were the track staff as
they hauled numerous karts back onto the track. Lots of fun
was had.
Clay Pigeon Shooting
Mr Nichol took a group of sharp shooters to Greenfields at
the weekend for the annual clay pigeon competition. The
Ladies Trophy was won by Sonia Lai. The Gentlemens
Competition and overall winners trophy was shared by Max
Heming and Theo Williams (20/25).
Parents Squash match
A resounding win to the parent team this year, which was
very strong. Both Islay and Billy did well against their fathers
and then against Ed Miles and Jasper Smallwood. The
remaining players were all fairly confident they could beat
their

Monday Music
Monday Music returned this morning with a Grade 3 piece
on the cello from Francesca Barton. Francesca played
Barcarolle by Jacques Offenbach. Well done, Francesca.
Headmasters Commendations
This morning the Headmaster spoke of a letter received by
Mr Hallam regarding the Satips Challenge. The Challenge is
open to all prep schools around the country and there were
approximately 1000 competitors, so to hear that we had
won was remarkable. Ethan Beckett scored 83 from a
possible 100, 2 points clear of his nearest rival. A great
achievement not only rewarded by 20 worth of Amazon
vouchers from Satips (Support and Training in prep schools),
but also enough to earn him a Headmasters Commendation.
Well done, Ethan.
Rose Matthews decided to start her own fund-raising for
Comic Relief. She made her own posters to raise awareness
and ran two miles on Red Nose Day. She has raised 176 so
far and was awarded a Headmasters Commendation for her
selfless efforts. Well done, Rose.
