Non-Destructive
Testing Services
Our inspections are performed by CGSB and
ASNT qualified technicians. Since all of our
inspections are under the direction of a Professional
Engineer, we can provide solutions when problems
are encountered.

Applications
Ultrasonic Testing (UT)
Detection of cracks, voids,
porosity, laminations, and
inclusions in weldments, plates,
tubes, castings, forgings and
extrusions. UT is also the most
common method of performing
thickness gauging to check manufactured parts or
to measure remaining thickness on corroded or
damaged parts.
Magnetic Particle Inspection (MPI)
Detection of surface or
near-surface cracks, laps, and
non-metallic inclusions in
ferromagnetic products such
as weldments, castings, forgings,
extrusions and other basic
steel products.
Liquid Penetrant Inspection (LPI)
Detection of cracks, porosity, laps
and seams in castings, forgings,
and weldments in metallic and
non-metallic components.

Visual Inspection Services
As a CWB certified inspection organization under
standard CSA W178.1, we can provide skilled
inspectors qualified to meet your needs.
Our QC / QA program can be customized to your
specifications or we can assist in determining the
extent of inspection by developing an Inspection and
Test Plan complete with hold points at critical stages
of fabrication. A typical plan may include any of
the following:
- Review of drawings & specifications
- Develop or review welding procedures and verify
adequate equipment
- Witness welder qualification testing
- Verify material test reports and traceability
of materials
- Visually inspect production weld quality and
overall workmanship
- Confirm that "as built" dimensions match
drawings and document variances
