What are the types of powder coatings?

Thermosetting undergoes a chemical reaction during cure improving the performance properties.
Thermoplastic simply melts and re-solidifies the binding polymer during the film formation and does not undergo a chemical
reaction during the baking process but rather flows out into the final coating.

What are the basic components of powder coatings?

Resin and curing agent components that cure to form a coating film also called the Binder. They provide the powder coatings
mechanical, chemical and outdoor properties along with corrosion resistance.
Filler inorganic materials which enhances properties such as abrasion and corrosion resistance and hardness.
Pigments organic or inorganic material that provides colour to the finished coating.
Additives often minor components used to tailor specific properties such as flow, gloss or texture.

Jotun Durasol is our ultra-premium product designed to offer ultimate durability and timeless protection. By guaranteeing the

to PVDF liquid systems, Jotun Durasol is ideal for areas characterised by high traffic and air pollution.

Jotun Super Durable

Jotun Super Durable polyester is a line of heavy-duty superior polyester powder coatings, especially formulated to withstand harsh
weather conditions in line with AAMA 2604. These standards evaluate the coatings' performance after a 5-year exposure period in
South Florida. Design friendly, the product is ideal for sustainable architectural projects and has a fifteen year proven track record.

The product also withstands handling and mounting strains and has a life expectancy three times longer than earlier powder coating
technologies. It is also more cost effective than liquid coating systems with similar performance results. More importantly, it is
well-suited to endure elevated temperatures, intense levels of UV radiation and erratic degrees of humidity. Its high gloss and colour
retention are combined with optimum functional properties, ensuring the highest levels of protection and aesthetic appearance.

Corro-Zinc 97
Corro-Zinc 97 is an epoxy-based zinc rich powder coating designed to be used as a primer coat on phosphated or blast-cleaned steel
objects and structures. Corro-Zinc 97 provides excellent resistance to corrosion, oustanding mechanical properties and inter-coat
adhesion, very good degassing properties, very good edge coverage and flow. Suitable top coat products are Corro-Coat MX for

Primax AC 97
Primax AC 97 is an epoxy-based powder containing a minimum amount of zinc which is application friendly and suistainable. It has
excellent inter-coat adhesion properties, comprising primer and topcoat is applied and cured as recommended. Suitable top coat
products are Corro-Coat MX for interior applications and Corro-Coat PE or Jotun Facade for exterior applications.

has been identified as the primary form of degradation in reinforced concrete structures worldwide. To minimise this form of
corrosion and increase the longevity of concrete structures, Jotun Powder Coatings has developed the Corro-Coat EP-F 4000
premium quality fusion bonded epoxy series.

How does this product work?

We use R3 concept to describe how Jotun Powder Coatings can help you with your business Reinforce, Resist and Reassure.

Reinforce
Corro-Coat EP-F 4000 series protects against corrosion of reinforcing steel bars, reducing cracking, staining and spalling of the
surrounding concrete ensuring structural integrity. Corro-Coat EP-F 4000 series maintains high concrete bond strengths compared
to that measured in uncoated reinforcing bars.

Resist
Soluble corrosion salts are found in structural environments, construction sites, uncoated reinforcing bar surfaces or as contaminants
in the original concrete mix. A direct pathway for the soluble salts to corrode the steel reinforcing bar is created through
imperfections in the encasing concrete structure (micro-cracks, capillaries). Corro-Coat EP-F 4000 series is formulated and designed
to protect the steel reinforcing bars by resisting this soluble salt migration to the steel.

Corro-Coat EP-F 4000 series, through its anti-corrosion properties and extensive successful track record of over 35 years in severe
