PROM

Reminder: Prom tickets are now on sale to all eligible juniors and seniors until Wednesday,
March 25. Ticket prices are ASB $60, ID $70, and $80 for approved guests. Late tickets
will be sold for $5 more on Thursday, March 26 through Friday, March 27 at lunch
only!!!! Students can sign up for dinner tables after purchasing tickets on a first come, first
serve basis. 10 guests are seated at each table and no seats will be held so try to purchase
your tickets together if youd like to sit together. Students will be asked to nominate a
junior and senior male and female for Prom King Queen and Junior Prom Prince and
Princess when buying their ticket. You must be present at the time your ticket is being
purchased to nominate. The top 4 vote getters that will be attending Prom will be placed
on a ballot the day of the event.
Just a reminder that you must be academically eligible
based on the Feb. 20 grading period and free of debt before purchasing a ticket.

POWDER PUFF

Attention Ladies: If you are interested in playing Powder Puff this year, your $25 for the
jersey is due to Gina Gonzalez in the finance office before March 27th. If you would like to
fundraise for the jersey, please see Ms. DeCanio in room 1005. The last day to order is
March 27th. Numbers are on a 1st come, 1st serve basis.

SENIORS

Attention Seniors! The adult CNA course for 2015 registration has begun. If you would like
to take the summer CNA class please contact Mrs. S Chambers (Nursing Instructor) for
more details.

RAISIN ROYALTY

The city of Selma is looking for Raisin Royalty Candidates. If you would like to earn some
money and a possible scholarship please contact the Selma Chamber at 891-2235.
Candidates must be between 16 and 23 years of age by May 1, 2015.

LIBRARY

Come join us in the library for our Movie @ Lunch on Wednesday, March 25th Friday,
March 27th to watch Mockingjay part 1.

SPRING WEEK

Today is Pajama Day!! Tomorrow is America day wear Camouflage/Red, White & Blue attire.
Wednesday is Perfect two day dress up in pairs i.e. PB&J, Salt & Pepper. Thursday is Blast
from the past dress up in any genre from the past. Friday is Boho/Hippie Day dress up in
tie dye or hipster attire.

ALL STUDENTS

This is the last week to donate in your English class for the Send Em Home Reading CSF
fundraiser. CSF wants to promote reading to all our Jackson Elementary kindergartners by
giving each one of them a book to keep and read over summer break. The English teacher
with the most donations will receive a $25 gift card to Barnes and Noble and all of his/her
students will be entered into a drawing for various gift cards. Thanks for your kindness!

COMMISSIONER
APPLICATIONS

Applications to be a part of next years leadership class are available on the student office
counter and are due to Ms. DeCanio Today.

FOR SENIORS

Young Ambassadors Program for Seniors: The Smithsonian Latino Center is now
accepting applications for the 2015 Young Ambassadors Program June 21 through July 31.
The application deadline is April 6, before 5 p.m. EDT. The Young Ambassadors Program
is a national program for graduating high school seniors aimed at fostering the next
generation of Latino leaders in the arts, sciences and humanities via the Smithsonian and its
resources. For more information see Ms. Loving.

ALL STUDENTS

Students male and female if you want to get in great shape and play basketball at the same
time Mr. Pallesi is teaching a condition class and the fundamentals of basketball. The class
will start on the Wednesday we get back from spring break.

STUDENTS 16 &
OLDER

Would you like to try and get a job? On Wednesday, April 1st, the City of Fresno is hosting
the Mayors Youth Job Fair from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Manchester Center. Be prepared
for on-site interviews and dress to impress! For more information, pick up a flyer in the
student office.

ALL STUDENTS

If youre an athlete and youre eating after school around the MPR and or near weight room
YOUR TRASH NEEDS TO BE DUMPED in GARBAGE CANS! Take Pride in taking care of the
athletic facilities!

WINTER ATHLETES

All students that participated in winter athletics please come to the Athletic Window before
school, at lunch or after school to pick up your emblem and or letter. If you have any
questions, please see Ms. Bonilla.

AFTERSCHOOL
BBQ CLASS

The afterschool program is now offering a BBQ class on Mondays at 3:30. You will learn
proper BBQ technique, safety and other valuable grilling skills. If you missed last weeks
class, it is not too late to sign up. See Mr. Garcia in room 908 if you have any questions.

ALL STUDENTS

Attention Students: It is suggested that you carry your bags with you at all times, Staff is
not able to open the classrooms during lunch or afterschool to retrieve your
Bag/Instruments/Sports Gear or anything else left in the classroom. It is your responsibility
to carry your items with you at all times.
