GM E-mail on iPhone

This training bulletin is a step-by-step guide on how to set up your GM e-mail on your iPhone.
Note: With the information below you can add your GM email to your iPhone. However, only AT&T provides
the necessary server connection to send mail from your iPhone. All other networks only allow you to receive.
Screens will vary by version.
S T E P S TO F O L L O W

Click Settings.

Click Other.

Click Save (or Next, depending on the version of iPhone you have).

Click Save (or Next, depending on the version of iPhone you have). It may take several
minutes to verify.

You will get a prompt, Cannot connect using SSL. Do you want to try setting up the
account without SSL? Click No.

You will now be back to a screen that shows your account(s). Click the
newly created GM email account.

You will now see the Account Info screen. At the bottom, click SMTP.

Use SSL - should be OFF for the outgoing server.

Click Done (upper right corner). It will take several minutes to verify.

Click Advanced.

Incoming Settings
Use SSL - change to ON.
Server Port - should be 993 (change the Server Port to 993 if necessary).

Click your newly created mailbox. You will now be able to send and receive your GM
e-mail.
Note - If you change your GM e-mail password, you will need to update the account on your phone.
