Zelda-A Link to the Past Maps Tutorial (by Wuppes)

1. Step, size the picture to your picture frame. I used a picture frame with deep (A3 -> 29,7cm - 42cm and a deep of 3 cm)
If you use a smaller picture frame like A4 21cm 29,7cm, just resize the picture, but it will be more tricky to cut out the small
houses =)
And when you dont want to use a frame, just make it on a cardboard.
When you print the picture and when it is too bright or to dark, just double-click the picture in the word document and change
the brightness (+10% or -10%)

2. The tools

Cutter
Scalpel
Tweezers
Glue Stick
Pen
Ruler
Foam rubber
(Moosgummi)

3. Cut out the clouds on the first picture and paste them on the top of the glass vitrine of the picture frame.

4. The blue water part of the cloud picture you just paste on the background of the frame.
5. From the second picture, cut out with a scalpel all the water areas except the waterfalls.
Take 2 foam rubbers (A4 size) and put them together to get A3 size. Place the picture on it and draw with the pen the water
areas on the foam rubber.
Now you cut these out with a scalpel. (You can cut out 5 mm over you marking) When finished, paste the 2 foam rubbers on
the background (If you have done it right, you can see the water areas one level deeper =)
6. Cut out the houses, the castle, the forests, the mountains next to the Hylia Lake, the whole death mountain on the top with
the castle tower in one piece. The same for the Eastern Palace area and the Desert Palace area (except the ground part of
this one).
7. Starting with the Lost Woods (Dont forget to cut out the Master Sword area) Take this forest part, make 2 copies with the
foam rubber (I took a green for the first and a brown for the second level. Glue the foam rubbers together. Now cut out the
higher trees, paste the forest on the foam rubber, glue small foam rubber pieces under the trees and then on the forest part.
When the forest part is finished, you can glue it on the picture

8. Same step for the houses (1 level one piece of foam rubber)
9. The Castle. First, make 2 copies on foam rubber of the whole castle and glue them together. Now cut out the second castle
level with the top-building in one piece. From this new pic, make again 2 copies on foam rubber and glue them together. Last,
cut of the top-building from the second level and make just one copy on the foam rubber. The ground wall has 2 levels two
pieces of foam rubber. Same for the second part of the castle. The top has just 1 level.

10. For all the other areas, its the same procedure. First, make a copy of the whole part, then cut out the 1 st level of it, etc
Forrest-part with waterfall 2 levels
Mountain-part with entrance 1 level
The 3 next floors each 2 levels (6 levels)
Castle ground 1 level
Castle top 1 level

(With the ground level of the map, the whole

picture has at this point the highest point with
12 foam rubbers)

11. Small tip. When you copy a piece on the foam rubber, just turn it over to not get a line when drawing with the pen on the
original picture =)
