A PLACE I WOULD LIKE TO RETURN

I have many places I wish to return in the future. For example, I wish to return to Mallorca or Zumaia.
Those are attractive and beautiful places but if I need to choose one, Ill choose Zumaia.
Zumaia is a small town in the north of Spain in the Basque country. Is a town nearby from Bilbao, the
distance between those city are approximately 77 kilometres and also 34 kilometres from Sant Sebastian.
This city is a typical fishing town and has two beaches, Itzurun y Santiago. Itzurun is the nearest beach
from the town centre and the Santiago beach is next to the mouth of Urolas river.
Id like to go with my girlfriend one day although I dont know exactly the date. One reason is that you
will need (si o si) a car to go to the nearby places. Its too difficult to move by public transport because
the 80% of their geography are mountains. Only you can move by transport public if you are in a town.
For example, if you are living on the mountains in Zumaia, you need to drive with your car or motorbike
to the city and take the public transport. For this reason, I want to go there when Ill have my own car.
Zumaia has a lot of interesting things related with the geography. Ther e are many geologists that are in

love with the rock strata which is one of the most important in the world. The rock strata are
called flysch and it date from the mid-cretaceous period to the present, a time period of over
100 million years. Some geologists admitted that flysch are the evidence of the meteorite
which kill the dinosaurs 65 millions of years ago.
The culture in Zumaia is not very different from other sites. For example, they have a typical
wine called as Txakoli. Another thing that I want to add is that the local people are used to go
out with the friends and taking a glass of wine with a snack.
In my opinion, I think that Zumaia is a wonderful place to live but have some disadvantages and
advantages. Some of the advantages are that you will breathe an air which its more healthy than the air of
the big cities. And one disadvantage is the facilities because Zumaia is a mountain town but next to the
Cantabrian sea. For example, if you need to go to a good hospital, you will need to go to Bilbao because
in Zumaia there is only a rural doctor.
Then, a curiosity of this town is that all people say that in summer the weather there are cold. Well, in my
case I went to Zumaia last summer and I wear a T-shirt all day and the temperature approximately of the
day was 30C.
So, Im looking forward to going there as soon as possible.
