PROF. RAYMUNDO ROVILLOS, PH.D.

Chancellor, UP Baguio
Gov. Pack Rd., Baguio City 2600
Dr. Rovillos:
Greetings!
The three student institutions in the university, the University Student Council (USC), Outcrop, and the
Council of Leaders (CL), along with the Alliance of Concerned Students (ACS) as the main proponent of
the amendments, share the mandate of serving for the students and maximizing their involvement in the
issues in and out of the university. In line with their commitment to the studentry, these student
organizations conducted discussions and drafted a paper of their proposed amendments to the 2012
Diliman Code of Student Conduct and the existing 2007 UPB Student Handbook.
In connection to this, these united student formations organized a university-wide student assembly to
discuss the amendments and consult the student body in upholding our unified stand. The assembly
will be held on 13 March 2015, from 1:30 PM 4:30 PM, at the UPB Parking Lot.
Having said this, we humbly request your good office to: (1) suspend the classes on March 13, 2014,
1:30 PM 4:30 PM, to require all students to participate in the assembly for maximum student
participation, (2) to approve our request to reserve the UPB parking lot (including the main lobby)
as the venue of the assembly, and (3) to be part of the program for a short message of solidarity.
We look forward for your positive response and solidarity with our goal of maximizing the student
involvement among our constituents. Thank you!
