Terms and Conditions
As a ticket holder, I understand and agree to the following Terms and Conditions
• A ticket represents a chance to accept the stated prize(s) subject to all terms and conditions herein and in the “Winner Affidavit”. Winning tickets shall be selected by a random drawing in which all participants have an equal chance of winning. Winner need not be present to win.
• A maximum of 10,000 tickets will be sold in each market.
• It is understood that the ScholarWise Scholarship Trust prize shall be administered by a trustee or escrow agent and that distribution of any and all funds from the trust will be directed by the trust or escrow agreement without exception.
• Prizes will not be awarded and shall be forfeited if winner’s ticket was issued in exchange for a check returned for “insufficient funds” or for a credit card charge declined, invalid, stolen or otherwise rejected.
• Prizes may not be substituted or exchanged. Prizes may have expiration dates. Additionally, travel prizes are subject to availability and subject to other restrictions.
• Per IRS regulations, the $125 ticket price is not deductible as a charitable contribution for federal income tax purposes.
• All prizes remain the sole property of Special Olympics Louisiana until unconditionally accepted “as is, where is” by the winner. Prizes shall not be awarded until the “Winner Affidavit” has been signed and delivered to Special Olympics Louisiana.
• Acceptance of any prize grants permission for Special Olympics Louisiana and ScholarWise to use the name, pictures, video images and relevant quotes of all winners and agreement that the prizes will not be used for additional fundraising by the winner.
• All federal, state and/or local tax consequences are the responsibility of the winner of any and all prizes. It is strongly recommended that winners consult a qualified tax advisor.
• Employees of Special Olympics and ScholarWise and their immediate families are not eligible to participate. “Immediate Family” shall be defined as spouse, parents and grandparents, children and grandchildren, brothers and sisters, mother-in-law, father-in-law, brothers-in-law,
sisters-in-law, daughters-in-law and sons-in-law. Adopted members and step-members are also included in immediate family.
• Must be a U. S. resident and 18 years of age or older to participate. All ticket purchases are final and non-refundable.
• Purchase of a ticket constitutes full agreement by the purchaser with all terms and conditions set forth herein and in the “Winner Affidavit”.
