From the Governor:
Hi Lisa -

This is extremely late in coming - but I wanted to THANK YOU and the Cowlitz Country
Altrusans for a very enjoyable visitation in November.

The day after our visitation, I ended up in the hospital and have been ‘out of commission’
almost totally since then! But
I’m on the mend and trying to catch up -

I was so impressed with all of your projects! They are unique and fantastic! Your members’ involvement in the
community through your projects is an absolute show stopper! Hopefully, other clubs in our district will take
a look at Cowlitz Altrusans and see what is possible - if they just dream and work together towards a common
goal!

You are an example of an excellent Altrusa Club which the world

could look at and be thankful you are one of us!

Again, thank you for a great meeting - and yes for the flowers
and the stationary also!

And a Merry Christmas Was Had By All!
Winona...Always thinking outside the giftbox, was at it again. On December
16th, members arrived in their most festive outfits, bearing wrapped gifts of
silly socks for the sock exchange. Joyce won the most festive outfit. (See top
left photo on next page)

As you can see, it was tasty breakfast, hearty laughs, and fun prizes - an over-
all positive holiday experience.
Head Start Speakers for
January Program Meeting
Sandy Junkers and Paul Youmans gave a
presentation on the Head Start program.
The Breakfast Bunch currently supports
the Head Start program by reading Bertie
Bear books to students.

OTHER FUNDRAISERS:

Valentines Flower Delivery

There’s nothing better that being the one to deliver love.
Except, maybe making money doing it. Lisa is giving us the
opportunity to earn money for the club by delivering flowers
the week of Feb 8th. Most of the deliveries
will be Friday the 12th and Saturday
the 13th. Sign ups will be at the
February Business meeting.

Another Successful Raffle

Members worked hard during the busy
time of year manning a booth for selling
raffle tickets. The drawing was held on
Saturday, Dec. 19th. We’re not publish-
ing in this newsletter what we made sell-
ing tickets, but Eleanor can tell you how
much the club made.
