My heart pounded on the door of my soul

It screamed and yelled at my inner core

It threw bottles and knives it couldn’t take any more.

My soul waited patiently with its doors bolted tight

My heart started to become weary and exhausted from the fight

My soul searched for years for my hearts remedy

It wanted to find the cure to heal me

My soul knew exactly what it was meant to do

So it waited quietly, patiently until it found you

Thank you for curing the pain in my heart and making my soul sing its song
