Visitor Information

All appointments are at the MBA Office,


Kelley School of Business Graduate and
Executive Education Center, suite 2010.
Please plan to arrive 15 minutes before your
first scheduled appointment. If you have
scheduled an interview, please fax, email, or
mail a current copy of your resume in advance

Travel Information
Bloomington is approximately 50 miles
southwest of Indianapolis.
Flying into Indianapolis. Named the #1
airport in North America, Indianapolis
International Airport (IND) is served by most
major airlines and is just over 50 miles from
Bloomington. From the airport you have
three options:

Directions from the airport


Departing the airport, take I-70 East to I-465
South and proceed to Indiana State Road 37 (Exit
4-Harding Street). Exit onto SR37 southbound
and follow it to Bloomington (approximately 43
miles). There are several exits into Bloomington;
you will take the second (SR 46). Go
approximately 2.3 miles on SR 46, passing
Memorial Stadium (which is on your right). Turn
right onto Fee Lane. Go approximately one mile
where you will find the Fee Lane parking garage at
the corner of Fee & 11th Street.
Parking
Parking is available in the Fee Lane Parking Garage
(grey building highlighted below) adjacent to the
Godfrey Graduate and Executive Education
Center. Please park in this garage. If you park in
any surface lot or Residence Hall lot you will be
ticketed and possibly towed. When you have
completed your visit with the Kelley School of
Business MBA Program our receptionist will give
you a pass that allows you to exit the parking
garage for free.

Take a limousine. They will provide


door-to-door service 24 hours a day, with
advance reservations. Check Classic Touch
Limo for current rates and information or call

Take a shuttle. Two shuttle services operate
between Indianapolis International Airport
and various locations in Bloomington.

Rent a car. Most major rental car companies
operate out of the Indianapolis International
Airport. Renting a car will be a great option if
youd like to have a chance to explore the
Bloomington area.

Internet Access for Visitors


Visitors to the IU Bloomington campus can now
enjoy wireless service, thanks to a joint effort
between UITS and AT&T. This service is free to
all IU visitors. To connect, make sure your
devices wireless networking (Wi-Fi) is turned on,
and select the attwifi SSID. You may need to
start your web browser to finish authenticating to
AT&T.

Indiana Memorial Union

While you are visiting Bloomington, you might be interested


in seeing a play or opera, visiting the IU Art Museum, or
seeing one of our Big Ten Division-I sports teams play. We
have listed some contact information on the reverse side for
many local activities:

The Indiana Memorial Union, located off 7th Street, has


endeavored since 1909 to fulfill a singular and essential
mission: to bring together the diverse elements of a
world-class university. It is recognized as the largest such
facility in the world! It houses a hotel and conference center,
a variety of restaurants and dining facilities, the IU
Bookstore, bowling and billiards center, post office, banking
facility, hair salon and barber shop, student organization
offices, and a myriad of other services and amenities.

IU Auditorium: Located behind the Main Library on 7th Street east


of the Union, the auditorium offers a variety of music, dance, theater,
Broadway shows, travel films, and celebrity performances.
Bloomington Playwrights Project: Local theatre dedicated to producing
plays of local and regional talent.
Art Museum: Ranked among the nations best university art
museums, it holds more than 25,000 works including objects from
ancient Mediterranean civilizations, African, Oceanic,
Pre-Colombian, Native American, and Asian cultures. The building
was designed by I.M. Pei and is located on East 7th near the
auditorium. Hours: Tues.-Sat. 10a.m.-5p.m. and Sun. 12p.m.-5p.m.
Admission is free!
School of Music Performances: IUs School of Music is respected as
one of the worlds most comprehensive institutions for musical
studies and is consistently ranked as a top music program. During
the year, the School of Music provides a wide variety of musical
performances, including facilities that contain a 1,460 seat opera
theater and musical orchestra pit accommodating a 100-piece
orchestra. The opera theater operates the longest season of opera
productions in the Western Hemisphere!
Mathers Museum of World Cultures: Cultures are featured in changing
exhibits that reflect the diversity of the museums collections. Over
20,000 artifacts from across the world provide the foundation for
the museums exhibits. Hours: Tues.-Fri. 9a.m.-4:30p.m., Sat. &
Sun. 1-4:30p.m. Admission is free.
Indiana University Theater: Fine Arts Plaza, 275 North Jordan.
Student-run productions, dramas, and comedies are offered
throughout the year.

Athletics
Student Recreational Sports Center: A $22 million facility built in 1995,
located one and a half blocks from the business school, is dedicated
primarily to student recreational sports. Daily passes for
non-students are $6. Facilities include strength conditioning area,
50 meter pool and diving well, 10 racquetball/wallyball courts, 5
basketball/volleyball courts, running track, 3 multi-purpose
gymnasiums, and 4 squash courts.
HPER Intramural Athletics Building: Located across from the Union,
the intramural facility features racquetball and basketball courts,
weight-lifting facilities, 2 pools, and a running track. Afternoon
pickup basketball games and racquetball are popular activities for
many MBAs. Daily passes for non-students are $4.
Athletic events: IU has 24 varsity sports teams, including mens and
womens basketball, tennis, soccer, track, swimming and mens
